iPhone to put Smart Phones to shame

I’m sure you all know by now. I’ve been at MacWorld all day so this is my first chance to post. I would upload the videos I took at the keynote but Engadget has brilliant live coverage on it. The phone was incredible as it sounds. I took a pic of it in the case at the exhibit display as well.

Launch date is June 2007 and they hope to take 1% of the phone market share in 2008. The price is $499, which is around what I expected. I’m sad that they have the partnership with Cingular though. I’ve been with same phone company (Tmobile) for the last 10 years so it’ll be hard to switch over. However, for the iPhone, I think it can be done. Check out the full keynote there. Here are some pics I took while I was there.

A New Magazine for Photographers
Just announced from the National Association of Photoshop Professionals they will be launching a magazine titled: Darkroom Magazine. It will focus on Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. Darkroom is said to be published 8 times a year, Scott Kelby writes, “Here’s the best news: As a NAPP member, you’ll get each issue of this new magazine for free along with your regular Photoshop User magazine. The public will be able to buy a subscription to Darkroom, but only the downloadable online version—not the printed version.” I love the Photoshop User Magazine that I get each month. I can’t wait for the new magazine! If you’re not a member already you should really think about joining. The online tutorials alone are with the dues for the membership. Plus you get access to all the podcasts by the Photoshop TV guys.
