DiggTop for your Desktop
Earlier this month Digg released their API’s, as a true Web 2.0 site does.
We intend to make most of the data on Digg.com available through the API. Currently, you can use the API to request very specific information about news stories and videos submitted to Digg, digging activity, comments, and users.
Usually a week after the release of a Web 2.0 sites API’s I find a new tool that a developer or group of developers have created using those API’s. In this case it’s a widget created by gskinner. The name is appropriately DiggTop, and if you’re a fan of Digg, it’s a must have desktop widget.
It’s a nice, small (<500kb), unobtrusive (especially in mini mode), cross-platform application (Mac OSX and Windows XP) that lets you view a custom blended Digg feed on your desktop. We mainly aimed to keep it simple and usable, but we also threw in a few cool features, like keyword feed support, custom article notifications, video preview, application update notification, and image slideshows.

I wonder what Web 2.0 site will be next?
