Twitter if finally Popular?!?!
What has happened on Twitter the past few months. It seemed like this time last year people were just dipping their toes in it, and now everyone from Ashton Kutcher to CNN is participating. Does that mean Facebook will start to decline finally? Is this because of the Facebook redesign fiasco? Either way, I’m glad everyone is finally joining us on Twitter, including Oprah Winfrey as seen below. Feel free to follow me.

Facebook and MySpace fight for Business to use their Platform
Now I’m not talking about ads. I’m talking about a clean page which can be an extension of their brand in the social media arena. On this new page you can find other extensions of their social media activities like twitter, flickr, and rss feeds. Take a look at the great job AT&T has done with it. TechCrunch is covering all the new features that will be launched in the next few weeks. Facebook details:
Look for a much more streamlined look to Facebook Pages next week though, with a multitab interface very similar to what Facebook launched to users in 2008. The default view will show the Wall (which may include negative comments unless they are routinely deleted). All the custom apps will be pushed to a second Boxes tab. The Pages will also likely mirror the look of normal user profiles, with an image in the top left corner, etc.
MySpace’s piece in this.
Charlie Rose - Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson
Good luck to them. I definitely think it’s a great idea. Hopefully they maintain it. With anything in social media, that’s half the battle.

Facebook Design 2.0
If you haven’t checked it out and you’re an avid user, do so immediately: http://www.new.facebook.com/home.php
I am not a fan and have sent in plenty of feedback to the Send Feedback link. It looks like they just stretched out the pages and added in more ads. If you’re going to do a redesign at least add in some new features. Am I missing them? Here is a review to the site updates, just nothing I have found really useful.

Superbowl or Super Tuesday?
Living in New York I expected to see nothing but Giants fans out today. You could have counted on one hand the amount I saw today. Instead, I saw nothing but people with signs for either Obama or Clinton. I even saw dogs with special made outfits for their politician of choice. I almost forgot the Superbowl was on tonight until I remembered I promised to pick up the Popeye’s. At one point I even saw pro Clinton campaigners run across the street to interrupt Obama campaigners talking to a group of young people. Anyways, I decided to add the US Politics Facebook app today and take the online survey to match me up with the candidate that “fits with my views” the most. All of the campaigners just put me in the spirit. The Facebook app has a direct feed into ABC which gets featured on the live updates for Super Tuesday. The survey is just fun and interesting. Back to the Superbowl game!
